Sarge2

Quick paintup for the Sarge. For those asking about the pencil, I had scanned the original sketch and then duplicated it, put it on top as a multiply layer and blurred it. That gave me a softer feel. So any lines I left in would more easily jive with the painting.

Very cool to see Sgt. Rock painted :) Interesting tip about blurring the pencil lines. I've been colouring lines lately before turning them into a multiply layer in an effort to make them fit better. I'll have to give that a try too.

Really sharp! The glint of fire in the background and the spattered blood on the helmet and cheek are perfect touches! Love your stuff on Drawergeeks too!

This one sort of epitomizes what I love about your stuff. Nice attention to graphic shapes in the drawing, and painted with just as much attention to values and colour, while still retaining the life and character of the thing. Keep posting, man!

This interpretation of Sgt. Rock is great! I found this image by accident, doing google searches for Sgt. Rock art...

It falls right in line stylewise with a 3D project I'm cooking up!

Very cool!
